Thai Foreign Minister attends 21st APEC Ministerial Meeting (Mfa.go.th)

On the first day, he will join other ministers for a working breakfast for a free flowing discussion on key challenges facing the region and how to address them together.

During the day, Foreign Minister Kasit is also expected to have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Australia and the United States of America.


On 12 November 2009, the Foreign Minister will attend the AMM Plenary session. In addition to issues covered during the ministerial Retreat, the draft agenda will include items of particular interest to Thailand such as assessment of APEC developed member economies’ achievement of the Bogor Goal of free and open trade and investment by 2010, progress and future direction of Economic and Technical Cooperation (ECOTECH) and human security, both of which are essential complements to APEC’s trade and investment agenda.

During the second day of the 21st AMM, the Foreign Minister is expected to have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Canada, Colombia and Papua New Guinea.
